Set in the beautiful Durham countryside, Beamish is a world famous, living, working air museum.
Experience how the industrial revolution transformed agricultural life in the region. Across a 300 acre estate, visit an early 1900’s mining village, an Edwardian railway station, a 1940’s farm with rare livestock breeds, and much more. Each area includes costumed actors who bring the whole village to life.
A visit to Davy’s Fried Fish Shop for coal fired fish and chips in the 1900’s Pit Village is highly recommended but go early as demand is high! There’s also Edwardian Tearooms, a vintage public house and for the kids, an old fashioned sweet shop.
See what’s new at Beamish, including W Smith’s Chemist, JR & D Edis Photographers and St Helen’s Church, a great day out for all the family during the school holidays!
This tour will be operated by one of our luxury coaches with an on board toilet and free hot drinks and snacks served by your on board host.
