Launch into spring with a 2 night mini cruise to Amsterdam. Passports at the ready!
Launch into Spring 2018 with a 2 night mini cruise to Amsterdam! Enjoy light refreshments on board the coach to Newcastle where we meet the DFDS Seaways ferry to Amsterdam.
On the ship, choose from 6 eateries serving dishes from across the globe. For your evening entertainment choose the Columbus Club, the main venue for live music and entertainment, play some Bingo, try your luck at the Casino, or enjoy a world beer or glass of wine at the Navigator’s bar with acoustic music.
On sailing into the Dutch port, you will rejoin our coach for a transfer journey to the city of Amsterdam where you have up to 5 hours exploring the Dutch capital at your leisure. Head to Central Station for an introduction to the city by canal.
Stop by Amsterdam’s floating flower market, try a traditional Dutch drink or snack! Head to Wynand Fockink to sip a fruit liqueur or genever or stop at De Prael for great beer brewed in the heart of the Red Light District.
You’ll also find local tipples at nearly any brown café, plus fried bitterballen for a traditional snack. Visit a pancake restaurant, buy some friet (chips/fries) with mayonnaise in a paper cone or stop by a fish stall to sample raw herring.
You will then rejoin the coach to travel back to the ferry for the return overnight sailing back to Newcastle followed by return travel to Fife the next day.
